Where we install Christmas lights
Thirteen cities, all of them close to home. We are based in Laguna Hills, and the list stops where it stops for a reason.
How far we go, and why the list stops there
Maintenance is part of both packages. If a bulb goes out in the middle of December, we come back and fix it — that is the deal, and it only works if we are close enough to actually do it. So the area we cover is the area we can get back to: South Orange County, out from our base in Laguna Hills.
Measured from there, the whole map is about twenty miles across. San Clemente is the furthest city on the list, straight down the 5. Irvine is the short run the other way, up the 5 or the 405. Going west you are at the coast in Laguna Beach through the canyon; going east you are in Rancho Santa Margarita along Santa Margarita Parkway. Everything else sits in between, and several of these cities — Laguna Woods, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest — are the next street over from us.
Installs run October 15 through December 10 and takedown is in January. Both packages are the same price wherever you are on this list — $400–$800 for the Basic Roofline, $1,000–$2,500 for the Premium Full Front — because the drive is not what moves the price. Roofline length, stories and how much you want lit are.

Laguna Hills
Our home city — Nellie Gail's long equestrian frontages at one end, tight 70s and 80s tract streets at the other.
Mission Viejo
A big, older master-planned city where the roofline changes every few streets — single-story ranch here, two-story tract there.
Irvine
Villages, not neighbourhoods — each with its own association, its own rules, and a very different amount of roofline.
Laguna Niguel
Master-planned and association-heavy, from Bear Brand's custom estates down to Beacon Hill's 80s villages.
Aliso Viejo
Newer, planned end to end, and an association on nearly every street — the rules come before the design here.
Lake Forest
Forty years of housing in one city — a 70s lakefront street and a 2019 tract need completely different plans.
Laguna Beach
Steep lots, ocean air, and no two rooflines alike — the one city where every quote starts from the photos.
Dana Point

Cities we do not cover
Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach and Newport Beach are outside our area. An older version of this site listed them; it should not have. They are far enough from Laguna Hills that we could not get back out to fix a bulb in December the way we do here, and a maintenance promise we cannot keep is worse than no page at all.
