What is permanent roofline lighting?
It is a track of small colour-changing LED points installed along the eave line of your house. The track is mounted once, wired to a controller, and stays there year round. In daylight it reads as a thin line under the roof edge, not as a string of bulbs.
You control it from your phone. Every point can be a different colour, so the same roofline does warm white for a dinner party, red and green in December, orange in October, red white and blue on the Fourth of July, and off for most of the year.
It is a permanent fixture on the house, the way landscape lighting is. That is the real difference from Christmas lights, and it is the thing to think hardest about before you buy.

Should I get permanent lights or seasonal Christmas lights?
Both are good answers. They suit different houses and different people.
Seasonal makes more sense if…
- You only want lights for the holidays
- You like the fat C9 bulb look, which a permanent track does not copy
- You want trees, bushes, pathways and railings lit, not just the roof
- You would rather pay a smaller amount each season than one larger amount once
- You might move in the next few years
- Your HOA is strict about anything attached to the exterior year round
Permanent makes more sense if…
- You want the house lit for more than one holiday a year
- You are tired of anything going up and coming down at all
- You like clean, even, modern lines more than the classic bulb look
- You are staying in the house
- You want a switch on your phone rather than a timer
- Your eaves are straight and continuous enough to take a track cleanly

How does the install work?
We look at the eave line first, in person. Not every roof takes a track well — the run has to be reasonably straight and continuous, and there has to be somewhere sensible to put the controller and the power. That visit is how we find out, and it is free.
Install is a day on most homes. The track is mounted under the roof edge, the wiring is routed out of sight, and the controller goes somewhere you can reach. Before we leave, we set up the app on your phone and run through the presets with you.
After that it is yours. If something stops working we come back out — same as the seasonal service.
What does permanent lighting cost?
We do not publish a band for this one, because we would be guessing. Permanent lighting is priced by the length of the eave run, how the house is built, and how far the power and controller have to go. Two homes on the same street can be a long way apart on that.
So the honest answer is: we come out, we measure, and we give you a real number before you commit to anything. The visit and the quote are free.
