Christmas Light Installation in Irvine
We hang C9 lights on Irvine rooflines, wrap trees, light entries and garages, and take it all down in January. Irvine is the short run north-west from our base in Laguna Hills, up the 5 or the 405 — close enough that coming back mid-season is easy.
Homes in Irvine
Irvine is not organised into loose neighbourhoods. It is organised into twenty-two villages, and they span about fifty years of building. That gap is the whole story when it comes to lighting a front elevation.
The older villages came first. Woodbridge went up in the 1970s and 80s around its two lakes. Northwood is one of the originals. Turtle Rock climbs the hill. Homes there sit on wider lots with the garage facing the street, so there is a long, clear run of roofline and plenty of room to read it from the pavement.
The newer villages are built tighter. Quail Hill, Oak Creek and Westpark are denser than the originals, and Portola Springs and the Great Park Neighborhoods are denser again. Shorter frontages. Shared motorcourts. Garages off a lane instead of facing the street. Three-story elevations in places.
What that means in practice: on a newer Irvine home there is often less street-facing roofline than the size of the house suggests, and the front door, the entry arch and a tree or two carry more of the display. On an older Woodbridge or Northwood home it is the opposite — the roofline does the heavy lifting and a Basic Roofline job can be the whole effect. Communities and HOAs in Irvine
Nearly every village has its own association and its own design guidelines, and they are genuinely not the same from one village to the next. What a Woodbridge homeowner is used to is not what a Portola Springs homeowner is used to.
Most associations around here publish something about exterior lighting — the dates it may be up, the colours allowed, whether a timer is required, whether anything may attach to a shared wall or a common-area tree. We are not going to claim we know your village's rulebook by heart. Send us what yours says and the design gets built inside it. If what you want is not allowed, you will hear that before you pay anything, not after the truck is loaded.
What a display costs in Irvine
Two packages, two published bands, the same in every city we cover: $400–$800 for the Basic Roofline and $1,000–$2,500 for the Premium Full Front.
In Irvine the things that move the number are a bit different from the older cities on our list. Total feet of street-facing roofline matters most, and on a dense village lot that can be surprisingly short. Then the working height — two and three stories are common. Then how much of the rest of the front joins in: entry, garage, a wrapped tree, the pathway.
This is also why we never quote by the foot. A big house with a motorcourt can need less line than a smaller house with a wide, open frontage. The honest way to price it is to look at what the street actually sees.
How booking works in Irvine
- Text two photos of the front of the house — one straight on, one from an angle — and say whether you want the roofline or the full front.
- You get a real number back inside one of the bands, with what is included.
- We install between October 15 and December 10. Tell us your village when you book, along with anything your association requires.
- Maintenance runs all season, then January takedown. We take it down and store it. If a bulb goes out before then, call and we come back out.
The calendar opens in September and early-November dates go first.
Questions we get from Irvine
My village association has design guidelines. Will you work inside them?
Yes, and we would rather see them before we design than after. Send us what your association says about seasonal lighting — dates, colours, timers, anything about shared walls or common-area trees — and the plan is built to fit. We will not tell you what your village allows, because that is your association's document to state, not ours.
My house has a motorcourt and barely any street-facing roof. Is it worth doing?
Often yes, but the shape changes. When the roofline is short, the display leans on the entry, the garage, a wrapped tree and pathway lights instead — which is the Premium Full Front package rather than the roofline-only one. If we think the effect will not justify the spend on your particular elevation, we will say so.
Do you cover the newer villages out by the Great Park?
Yes. Portola Springs, the Great Park Neighborhoods and the rest of the newer east side are all inside our area, at the same two price bands as everywhere else. They are the densest homes we work on, so the photos matter even more — include one that shows the whole front from across the street if you can.
