Christmas Light Installation in Laguna Hills

We hang C9 lights on Laguna Hills rooflines, wrap the trees, light the entry and take it all down in January. We are based here, so this is the shortest drive we make — and the easiest city for us to come back to if a bulb goes out in December.

Basic Roofline $400–$800 C9 LED roofline, timers, install and removal
Premium Full Front $1,000–$2,500 Roofline plus entry, garage, trees and pathway

Homes in Laguna Hills

Laguna Hills does not have one kind of house. It has two, and they need different plans.

Nellie Gail Ranch is the first one. It is an equestrian community of roughly 1,400 homes, built from the mid-1970s on the old Moulton ranch land, with horse trails running through it and lots that start around half an acre. Frontages up there are long. Homes sit well back from the street. Many of them are wide single-story ranch houses, and a wide single-story roof can carry more line than a two-story house on a tract street. The custom builds add dormers, wings and extra roof planes, and every one of those is more clips and more time on the ladder.

The rest of the city is the second one. Moulton Ranch, Aliso Meadows, Indian Creek, Stratford Ridge and Laguna Terrace went up mostly between the 1970s and the 1990s on much smaller lots. Shorter frontages. More two-story elevations. Neighbours closer in. The roofs are mostly plain gables and hips, which is good news — a simple roof takes one clean run of C9s and looks sharp from the pavement.

So the roofline package behaves differently on the two sides of town. On a tract frontage it is a crisp outline you read from the street. On a Nellie Gail lot it is a long, low line of light across a deep front yard. Same package, very different picture.

Communities and HOAs in Laguna Hills

Nellie Gail Ranch has its own owners association with architectural guidelines. Several of the tract neighbourhoods have associations of their own.

Here is our honest position on that. Many communities here have written guidelines about exterior lighting — when it can go up, when it comes down, what colours are fine, whether a timer is required. We will not pretend to have your rulebook memorised. Tell us which association you are in and what it says, and we design inside it. If something you want is not allowed, you hear that before you pay anything.

What a display costs in Laguna Hills

Two packages, two published bands, and they are the same in every city we cover: $400–$800 for the Basic Roofline and $1,000–$2,500 for the Premium Full Front.

Where your home lands inside a band comes down to four things. How many feet of roofline you want lit. How many stories we are working at. Whether trees, bushes, the entry, the garage and the pathway join in. And how much detail the roof has — a plain gable is quick, a cut-up custom roof is not.

A tile roof does not cost more by itself. It changes which clip we use, never the fastener, because nothing we install puts a nail or a staple into a roof. That is also why we never quote a price per foot here: two homes a mile apart can need completely different amounts of light, and the only honest way to tell you which band you are in is to look at your frontage.

How booking works in Laguna Hills

Four steps, and the first one takes you about a minute.

  1. Text us two photos of the front of your house — one straight on, one from an angle. Say if you want just the roofline or the full front.
  2. You get a quote back with a real number inside one of the bands above, plus what is included.
  3. We install between October 15 and December 10. You pick the window that suits you. Timers get set so you never touch a switch, and you never touch a ladder.
  4. Maintenance runs all season, then we take it down in January and store it for you. A bulb goes out, you call, we come back out.

The calendar opens in September and the first half of November goes first.

Questions we get from Laguna Hills

My house is two-story with a steep roof. Can you still do the roofline?

Yes. Two-story frontages are normal work for us and you never go up a ladder yourself. We use roof-safe clips rather than nails or staples, so nothing gets driven into the roof. Tell us if the roof is tile when you send the photos — it changes the clip we bring, not the price band.

I am in Nellie Gail Ranch. Does the association have to approve it?

Nellie Gail Ranch has an owners association with architectural guidelines, so it is worth asking them what those say about seasonal lighting before you book. We will not guess at the answer for you. Send us whatever they tell you and the design gets built to fit it.

Does a long Nellie Gail frontage push me into the Premium package?

No. The packages are about what gets lit, not how big the house is. A long single-story roofline can still be a Basic Roofline job. What moves you to Premium Full Front is adding the entry, the garage, wrapped trees and bushes, and pathway or railing lights. A longer roofline moves you up within the band, not out of it.
