Christmas Light Installation in Laguna Niguel
We hang C9 lights on Laguna Niguel rooflines, wrap trees, light the entry and take it all down in January. It is the next city south of our base in Laguna Hills — straight down Alicia Parkway or Crown Valley — so a mid-season call-back is a short drive, not a trek.
Homes in Laguna Niguel
Almost the whole city is master-planned, and it was built in waves. Beacon Hill went up in villages through the 1980s. Marina Hills, Niguel Summit and the San Joaquin Hills tracts filled in around them. Bear Brand Ranch is the estate end — large lots, custom homes, long private frontages and ocean views. Crown Cove rounds out the five big associations.
Two-story stucco elevations are the norm across most of it, with concrete or clay tile roofs and a fair amount of roof detail: gables facing the street, a projecting garage wing, sometimes a turret or a bay. Every one of those shapes is more roofline than a plain box, and that is what the Basic Roofline package is measured on.
The other thing about this city is the terrain. A lot of Laguna Niguel is built on hillside. Streets climb, driveways slope, and homes step up or down from the kerb. A house that looks like a simple two-story from the front can be three levels at the back. That does not change the price band, but it changes how the day runs and how much line is actually visible from the street, which is the part you are paying to see.
The high streets in the San Joaquin Hills look out toward Dana Point and the water. Great view. It also means those streets catch real wind, so everything gets clipped down rather than draped loose.
Communities and HOAs in Laguna Niguel
Most streets here answer to an association. Five big ones — Bear Brand, Marina Hills, Niguel Summit, San Joaquin Hills and Crown Cove — cover a great deal of the city, and there are smaller ones inside them.
Many of those associations have architectural guidelines covering the front of the house, and a lot of them say something about seasonal lighting: when it can go up, when it comes down, which colours are acceptable, whether a timer is required. We are not going to claim we know what yours says, because we have not read it. Tell us the community and what the guidelines say, and we design inside them. If what you want is not allowed, you hear it before you pay anything.
What a display costs in Laguna Niguel
Two packages, two published bands, the same in every city we cover: $400–$800 for the Basic Roofline and $1,000–$2,500 for the Premium Full Front.
What moves a Laguna Niguel home inside a band: how many feet of roofline you want lit, how many stories we are working at, how cut-up the roof is with gables and wings, and whether the entry, garage, trees, bushes and pathway join in.
Hillside access is a fourth factor, and an honest one. A steep driveway, a garage below the living level or a front you can only reach down a narrow side yard makes a day longer. It is invisible in a photo from the pavement, so tell us when you send yours.
How booking works in Laguna Niguel
- Text two photos of the front of the house, one straight on and one from an angle. Mention the stories, the roof material and anything awkward about access.
- You get a real number back inside one of the bands, with what is included.
- We install between October 15 and December 10. If you are behind a gate, give us the community and the gate procedure when you book.
- Maintenance runs all season, then January takedown. We take it down and store it. A bulb goes out, or the wind moves something, you call and we come back out.
Early-November dates go first, so book in September or October if the date matters to you.
Questions we get from Laguna Niguel
My house is two-story on a hillside lot. Can you reach the roofline safely?
Two-story hillside frontages are normal work here and you never go up a ladder yourself. What helps is knowing in advance: a sloped driveway, a garage below the living level, stairs from the street, or a narrow side yard as the only way round. Say so when you send the photos and we plan the day around it instead of discovering it on the morning.
We get a lot of wind up on the ridge. Will the lights stay put?
Everything is clipped down rather than draped, using roof-safe clips — never a nail or a staple. On the high streets toward the San Joaquin Hills that matters more than it does inland. Season-long maintenance is included in both packages for exactly this reason: if the wind works something loose, you call and we come back out and fix it.
Bear Brand and the gated villages — how does access work?
Give us the community name and the gate procedure when you book, and leave word with the gate for the agreed date. It is one message and it saves the whole crew waiting at the kerb. Several of the associations here run their own gates, so this comes up often and it is never a problem when it is sorted in advance.
